Tomato is one of my best plants ever not only that i cannot cook or eat Indomie noodles without been garnished with fresh tomatoes.
I also enjoy eating raw tomato many people said that eating a raw tomato is not delicious but, my dear reader raw tomato is delicious to me.
So if you love tomatoes as i cherish it, then why are you always fighting the market because you want to buy fresh tomato? when you can
grow surplus tomatoes in your backyard, but don’t forget to give me some tomatoes when you start gaining from this article, don’t mind me I was only Joking that is

So let’s quickly look at the top 8 powerful things you need to place in tomato hole before planting them.

NOTE: Some of these things i use in this article are not organic so don’t abuse it.

1. Fish Head

 

Fish heads have a lot of nitrogen phosphorus and potassium with all these i hope fish head has proven to what it can do on
your tomatoes plant.
After decay, fish head release essential trace elements that help your tomatoes farm
The decomposing process will not be drawing nutrients from the soil at the same time the plant is trying to get the soils’ nutrients

How to apply: Dig 1 foot deep and bury the fish head before planting.

2. Eggshell

 

Eggshell is playing a lot of role in our farming sector but some people are still throwing eggshell away.

In my snail farm eggshell helped my snails very well, that makes me create a relationship with a woman who is a bakery  to help me to get more eggshell, in Nigeria today a lot of people spend money on Idomie that simply means that you can go to anyone who is into fast food and get as much as you want because they don’t know the benefit of it they will even be happy that you are helping to remove the dirt out of their shop.

Instead of throwing egg shells you can actually sprinkle the crumbled eggshells around the seedling.

Calcium present in eggshell helps to grow tomatoes and acts as natural fertilizer for the soil.

3. Baking Soda

Spraying baking soda at the base of your tomato plant will help to obtain sweeter tomatoes.
Acidity in the soil will be lowered by this home available ingredient by making tomatoes sweeter and less sour.

If you’re planning to grow tomatoes in a container, then you must check this point you must try baking soda to grow the surplus amount of this fruit or vegetable.

4. Banana peel

Banana peel is rich in phosphorous in banana peels impact growth of tomatoes.

5. Bone Meal

Keep a ½ cup of bone meal in the tomato plant hole as it is rich in calcium and phosphorus.
This organic compost will provide a favorable condition to grow the roots of your tomato plant.

6. Epsom Salt

Gardening experts say that tomato plants suffer from magnesium deficiency.
Epsom salt is rich in magnesium. So, adding 1 tbsp of Epsom salt will provide the required amount of mineral to your plant.

After transplanting the seedling in the bottom of the plant hole, cover it with a thin layer and spread Epsom salt to make sure roots doesn’t touch Epsom salt.

7. Aspirin

Aspirin water increases germination and improves immunity to fight plant diseases.

Also, aspirin helps to increase tomato plant size and increase its yield.

The use of aspirin on plants appears to be beneficial but the question is, why? Apparently, plants produce minute amounts of salicylic acid on their own when they are stressed.
This tiny amount helps plants cope when they are under insect attack, dry, underfed or maybe even experiencing a disease issue.
The component helps boost the plant’s immune system, just like it does for us.

 

How to Apply these seven things to tomato plant hole?

Dig deep hole and place all these things into it. Now cover it with 2 inches of soil to avoid direct contact of soil with these elements.

Water the plant regularly, but don’t make it soggy. Make it moist by watering it frequently
